Our History
There’s no better way to commemorate an occasion, anniversary, or declaration of love than with a beautiful keepsake to wear forever, and Carolina Fine Jewelry has been passionate about curating such valuable mementos for nearly five decades. Owner Jon Landon, who took over the business from his father after he retired, is immensely proud of the work he and his team do and is dedicated to upholding the tradition of excellence and quality established since the company opened its doors in 1974.
Carolina Fine Jewelry was not the gorgeous retail store customers know and love today. Initially, it was a coin shop. After Landon’s father retired from the Air Force, he saw the value of buying rare coins and set up shop. From there, the store shaped and changed and officially opened as a retail store in the 1980s.
Since its original establishment, they’ve been a coin shop, a distributor for a national chain company, a place to buy silver and gold, and a jewelry store, but one thing that hasn’t changed at Carolina Fine Jewelry is the commitment to creating a memorable customer experience for all who walk through their doors.
The team is immensely proud that many of their customers return for each special occasion in their lives that calls for jewelry and eventually pass down the tradition to their children. They will help someone pick out an engagement ring for their future spouse and later do the same for their children. It’s a generational tradition that the Carolina Fine Jewelry team honors deeply.

Inspections and Repairs
Your jewelry is bound to experience some wear and tear as you wear it. It’s generally recommended that you get your jewelry inspected once or twice a year, depending on how often you wear the piece. Our jewelry experts can inspect and clean or repair your jewelry as needed, even if you didn’t purchase from us.

Do you have jewelry you want to sell? We can appraise and buy back your pieces, even if you didn’t originally purchase them from our store. We also buy gold and silver coins.
